Crystal Guardians I: New Destiny

Our world, Aurania, was once in the void itself. Then, the Master Soul unleashed great sorcery to bring it into the Twelve Realms. Along with it was created a spirit who would be the world's protector. She was named Aurania (as was the custom that protectors be named for the world they protected).
The Thirteenth World, Aurania, was quickly inhabitted by many Elves who had grown tired of their old worlds. Aurania was just the right place for them because of its many lush and deep forests. Aurania soon became the craze, every Elf wanted to move there. Then, in that craziness, came Protector Aurania's first mission.
She knew she could not use magic barriers to hold off the other Elves, they have more magic endurance and would be able to break down the barriers many times until she became to tired to make another. She could not use mind influencing for much the same reason, as well as she did not like invading the privacy of other beings' minds. So, she decided to increase the size of Aurania so it would be large enough to fit the Elves.
Soon, mankind began to take place upon the Thirteen Realms. They were formed in the Western Realm, but began to strech towards the Eastern Realms (in the direction of Aurania, to be exact). So Protector Aurania was forced to yet again grow her world. But this time she put plains and hills and mountains.
A problem soon grew between the Elves and Humans. The Elves did not want these creatures (who, they were sure, were mutations of the Elves) in the Eastern World.
And so Protector Aurania put a big desert in the middle of her world, and gave the forests to the Elves and the mountians, plains, and hills to the Humans.
So once again, Aurania began to prosper.

You are Ryrial (or, atleast, that's the default name), a young boy living in the forest village of Torkenfeld. You are an Elf, or a "Pure One" as the Elves had begun to call themselves after their quarry with the Humans many years ago.
You often dream of bringing the two races together into one big Realm. But alas, even if he could it would be a long and unpeaceful journey...
...even if you don't include the monsters leaking in through the rift.
You lived a normal life until that man Scrowergrom moved into your village. He is a strange and shady man with a thirst for war. Ever since he moved in, you've been dreaming about being in the rift and speaking to Protector Aurania while countless monsters bombard you.
Could these be signs of the Cross-Species war that the peaceful Elves have been dreading?
